Alpha
On September 21st we will be launching our second Alpha Course which will be held at the church on every Tuesday Evening.
The Alpha cours is an opportunity for people to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over ten weeks. It is open to everyone and is especially useful for those who want to learn more about Christianity, who are new to the church, or who want to brush up on their basic Christian knowledge.
There are a seriew of talks looking at topics such as "Who is Jesus?, "Why and how do I pray?" and "If God is a God of love then why does he allow suffering?" Each evening begins with a meal (always a favourite at FMC!) which gives everyone the opportunity to get to know each other better.
Please pray about the course - come and join in even if you have been on an Alpha Course or the like before. Most importantly, if you know someone who might be interested, invite them and come along with them!
We will be looking for group leaders, helpers, organisers, supporters, prayers and chair setter-outers - please let one of the Learning and Growing Team know if you are able to help.

using the excellent DVD by Philip Yancey, Bible Study and Group Discussion to explore different wasy of praying.
